Job Duties:
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the day to day Engineering operations of the company Energy Solutions (Energy Storage). The position (i) supports sales and business development from a technical standpoint to achieve order intake and revenue objectives for the region, (ii) provides technical support on ongoing projects execution to ensure customers satisfaction and recurring orders, (iii) provides after sales support and maintenance services to customers under warranty or under maintenance contracts, (iv) coordinate all above technical responsibilities in close collaboration and support from HQ Center of Excellence
Sales and Business Development technical support duties include:
- Provide local technical support to customers and peer
- Develop close relationships across customer organizations including senior technical management
- Influence customer products /systems requirements around SDI’s most pertinent offering by developing strong Energy Storage system value propositions tailored to customer
- Support the development of responsive proposals, and actively participate in negotiating winning contracts
- Review and improve tenders from Korean tendering team to American customers
- Prepare Energy Storage simulations for our customer to identify with them optimal sizing, lifecycle, technology, recommended operating modes
- Provide early technical consulting to customers developing their Energy Storage projects, building a solid technical-business case and making them become a reality
- Establish influential relationships with key industry partners including system integrators, EPCs, PCS providers, regulators, and standards organizations
- Actively participate in key industry organizations and identify new opportunities through presentations, papers and committee membership
Ongoing projects' execution technical support duties include:
- Address technical issues locally during the project installation and on-going service support
- Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure that all project technical duties and milestones are properly addressed (either by HQ Center of Excellence or locally)
- Review and participate to Site Acceptance Tests to ensure their success
- Ensure projects technical Quality Assurance, while providing feedback to Project Management and HQ Center of Excellence to ensure continuous improvement
After sales and maintenance services technical support duties include:
- Address technical issues locally during the project installation and on-going service support
- Coordinate with Account Manager to ensure all support and maintenance service contract technical related issues are promptly addressed to customer satisfaction
- Ensure Energy Storage lifecycle technical Quality Assurance, while providing feedback to Account Management and HQ Center of Excellence to ensure continuous improvement.
Technical coordination with HQ Center of Excellence duties include:
- Identify and develop new applications for large format lithium ion battery modules, trays & racks
- Provide guidance on all required local standards (i.e. UL , IEEE) for R&D roadmap
- Identify and promote new product development to meet the current and future needs of energy storage customers
- ordinate with business teams in distributed locations with particular emphasis on the HQ based technical and commercial teams in Korea
Requirements:
- BS, MS, (PhD is a plus) in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years technical experience in related industries including power Generation-Transmission-Distribution, energy storage, or other battery intensive industry
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid and high growth environment
- Self-starter mentality with strong technical, analytic and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated focus on quality and customer service
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
