Job Duties:
• Open new US in-bound immigration cases with the external immigration counsel
• Receive, process and submit all non-immigrant and immigrant petitions to our contracted law firms
• Monitor escalations of day to day U.S. Immigration matters as managed by the shared services.
• Communicate on daily basis with employees regarding all stages of their non-immigrant and immigrant status (including documentation, case strategy, case progression, potential additional available options, including displacement or transfer strategies)
• Proactively analyze immigration matters and effectively communicate solutions to internal clients in collaboration with outside immigration counsel
• Continually review immigration procedures and legal status of employees
• Coordinate, initiate and manage immigration cases with our outside legal counsel to ensure compliance, optimal processing timeline and maximum efficiency
• Educate managers and business partners on employee U.S. immigration concerns, strategies, and guidelines
• Maintain system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation * Assist with processing/coding invoices related to immigration
Requirements:
• 2+ years exposure to employment sponsored immigration such as temporary work visas, permanent residency processes, I-9 compliance is required
• Proven ability to work efficiently both independently and as a contributing member of the Human Resources global team and various other internal departments
• Ability to manage cases and work with strict time-lines
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft office programs (excel, word, power point, visio) Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with minimum 3+ years of related experience
• 3+ years of Human Resources experience
• 3+ employment sponsored immigration working within an enterprise environment.
