Job Duties:
• Recommends benefits program to management by studying employee requirements and trends and developments in benefits offered by other organizations.
• Maintain compensation and income surety programs by evaluating, recommending, and administering benefit programs.
• Supports management’s decision making by analyzing benefit options and predicting future costs.
• Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements and files all mandatory filings on time.
• Takes full responsibility of Open Enrollment for all affiliates, administers self-insured benefits plan billings between vendors and all affiliates and reconciles benefits accounts to confirm the final annual claims credit
• Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
• Handles the 401K annual audit and compliance test to make sure all are in compliance
• Effectively aligns with all policies to implement benefits, and provides rationale for options

Job Duties:
• Assess and anticipate human resources-related needs and ensures compliance with all State and Federal employment laws and regulations.
• Partners with leadership to align HR strategy to business strategy.
• Handles promotions, transfers, and new hires in collaboration with affiliate management.
• Evaluate issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and identify training needs and provides training and coaching on employee issues, policies and procedures and legal compliance. • Admin employee complaints effectively, escalating these complaints to the level of disciplinary or legal action when necessary.
• Perform Employee exit process - firing or departure process of employees who leave voluntarily.
• Manages workers’ Comp. claims and partners with supervisors on Return to Work Programs for the affiliates who has no HR staff.
• Perform internal I-9 audits.
• Helps coordinate company events, employee involvement program as needed.
• Assist ER investigation when necessary.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Proven strong foundation and knowledge of State and Federal laws, regulations and requirements related to HR including ERISA, EEO, LOAs, ADA, Workers’ Comp, COBRA, Wage and Hour and others
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field
• 5-7 years of HR generalist experience with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (and union setting is a plus)
